Robby Lyons returns to Diversified Motorsports Enterprises at Kansas Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan: Officials from Diversified Motorsports Enterprises (DME) confirmed today that the team has added this weekend’s doubleheader at Kansas Speedway to their 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series schedule.

On the heels of the team’s most recent race at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway last month, 31-year-old Robby Lyons will return to drive the team’s No. 97 Chevrolet Silverado in Friday night’s Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200 and Saturday afternoon’s e.p.t. 200.

Team owner Logan Puckett reiterated that NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie Jesse Little remains with the organization but is welcoming Lyons and partner Sunwest Construction for the ninth and 10th races of the season.

“Diversified Motorsports Enterprises is excited to have Robby Lyons back behind the wheel this weekend at Kansas,” offered Puckett. “I reiterate that our team is focused on growing and that includes adding additional races to our schedule even with a different driver.

“Robby did a great job at Pocono as has Jesse (Little) to kick off the 2020 season with our partner Teletrac Navman. Because of the coronavirus pandemic and the protocols in place with NASCAR, our initial 2020 schedule has shifted. We’re working hard with all of our partners on their agendas and we will release a revised schedule soon.”

As for Lyons, Puckett says he was impressed with his efforts at Pocono and looks forward to a double dose of Truck Series racing this weekend at Kansas.

“Robby has done a great job under the Diversified Motorsports Enterprises banner and look forward to seeing the job he can do at Kansas. I know that the lack of practice and even qualifying can be a determent to some of the teams, but we take the lack of track time in stride and just look forward to a positive weekend of racing with Robby, Bruce, the DME team and partners too.”

Under the leadership of Bruce Cook, Lyons, a native of Seminole, Fla. will make his second Kansas Speedway Truck start. In 13 prior NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series starts, Lyons has a career-best finish of 12th in his series debut at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway in 2017.

Diversified Motorsports Enterprises relying on experience in Atlanta debut

HAMPTON, Ga.: With a respectable top-20 finish in the books in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGROTS) return at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway last month, Diversified Motorsports Enterprises (DME) and driver Jesse Little trek to Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway for Saturday afternoon’s VetTix | Camping World 200 eager for more.

With no practice or qualifying in the Truck Series return from a two-month hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic, Little and his Bruce Cook-led team had to charge from a distant 35th place starting position to fight forward.

Working on the handling of their truck during the N.C. Education Lottery 200, Cook was able to adjust the team’s No. 97 Teletrac Navman Chevrolet that had Little turning his fastest laps when it counted most to earn a solid 20th place finish in one of the most competitive Truck Series races at Charlotte to date.

And while the finish was a step in the right direction for DME, the team is prepared to deliver more, a lot more in 134-laps Saturday afternoon.

Teletrac Navman, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider leveraging location-based technology and services for managing mobile assets will return as the team’s primary marketing partner for the fourth Truck Series race of the season.

“I’m super excited to get back racing with my Diversified Motorsports Enterprises guys,” said Little.

“Charlotte was not kind to us but pointed us in the right direction to rebound this weekend at Atlanta. I’m confident that Bruce (Cook) and I know what we need to do in order to field a competitive truck and I’m very thankful to have Teletrac Navman supporting us again.”

When it comes to success at Atlanta, Little can relate.

In 2018, Little nearly pulled off an upset with a victory in the Truck Series race at the 1.54-mile oval. Unfortunately, a late race caution thwarted the team’s plan and with a chaotic late race restart, the Sherrills Ford, N.C. native was shuffled to an eighth-place finish.

On Saturday, Little hopes to have more of the same luck for his team owner Logan Puckett.

“I really appreciate being apart of this DME team,” added Little. “Logan has been great to work with. As a young Truck Series owner, he is ambitious and as a driver, I want to deliver for him.

“Hopefully, we can continue to make gains at Atlanta this weekend that will help us down the road.”

As for Atlanta, its abrasive surface provides opportunity for great racing and when asked why he enjoys racing there, Little was quick to respond.

“Atlanta is very fast but at the same time, its so worn out,” he said. “It gives you a sensation that no other track does. Forces you to be precise all day. At the end of the day though, I just hope we’re in a good position with our No. 97 Teletrac Navman Chevrolet Silverado for a strong finish.”

For Puckett, Atlanta wasn’t originally on DME’s schedule this season, but the opportunity presented itself and Puckett was determined to put the team in the race lineup.

“I’m really proud of this team,” offered Puckett. “We’re making gains. The Truck Series field is really stacked right now with a lot of talented teams and drivers. We’re doing our part and working hard behind the scenes to keep up.

“While we were thankful to come out of Charlotte with a reasonable finish, I think we can agree as a team we want more and are determined to do that moving forward. As long as we can continue to make gains with every race, I can’t ask for much more from my guys.

“I appreciate Teletrac Navman and all of our partners for their continued support and allowing Atlanta to happen.”

The VetTix | Camping World 200 (134 laps| 201 miles) is the fourth of 23 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races on the 2020 schedule. Diversified Motorsports Enterprises primed and ready for Truck Series return

CONCORD, N.C.: Nearly 10 weeks since the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season was halted because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the trucks will roar Tuesday night at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in the N.C. Education Lottery 200.

Diversified Motorsports Enterprises, a new team owned by entrepreneur Logan Puckett will compete in its second Truck Series race of the season and looks to build on a solid showing in the season-opening race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Teletrac Navman, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider leveraging location-based technology and services for managing mobile assets will return as the team’s primary marketing partner for the third Truck Series race of the season. “

“We feel very blessed to be getting back to the race track, even if the circumstances aren’t perfect,” offered Puckett, one of the youngest Truck Series owners in the garage. “Our team has methodically putting a plan together both short term and long term and we look forward to the chance to show how much heart and passion this team has on Tuesday night at Charlotte.”

With NASCAR’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series schedule still in limbo due to the coronavirus, Puckett is determined to keep his initial plans front and center – running a limited schedule this season in preparation for a heavy schedule next year.

“We’re building this team for the future and while our schedule may change a little depending on what venues are announced by NASCAR – we’re just excited to be at the race track and represent a great partner like Teletrac Navman.”

The good news for Puckett is driver Jesse Little has two prior Truck Series starts at Charlotte’s 1.5-mile speedway with two solid top-16 finishes, including a 14th place effort last May with his family-owned JJL Motorsports team.

With Little’s experience and the leadership of crew chief Bruce Cook, the Diversified Motorsports Enterprises team has high hopes for their second career Truck Series race.

“I’m looking forward to Charlotte,” said Little. “It feels like a year since I’ve been in a truck, but I’ve been keeping up with Bruce and the team and they’re excited to get back to the track and see what we can.

“Charlotte is a fun but tough race. The draft is so important and the trucks can get so loose, but it puts on a great show. And while I’m bummed that fans won’t be able to be in the stands on Tuesday night, I think they are really going to enjoy what they see.”

Before climbing aboard his No. 97 Teletrac Navman Chevrolet Silverado, Little will compete in Monday night’s Xfinity Series race at Charlotte where the track time should be beneficial for his DME team.

Because of the temporary COVID-19 protocols administrated to the race teams at Charlotte, there won’t be any practice or qualifying which will put Little directly into race mode which could be a benefit from his hopeful 300-miles of racing on May 25.

“It’s crazy to just jump in the truck and go race, but there’s also a fun send-it mode for the drivers,” added Little. “Luckily, I’ll have some laps from the Xfinity Series car on Monday night and hopefully what I learn from the track conditions and all can be a benefit to put our DME team in a position for a strong finish in our second race together.

“I can’t thank Logan, Bruce and Teletrac Navman again enough for the opportunity to drive.”

To show their support this Memorial Day weekend, Diversified Motorsports Enterprises will sport a redesign of their television panel giving thanks to the Armed Forces for their continued dedication to serve our country.

“We are proud to recognize the men and women of the Armed Forces on Tuesday night,” added Puckett. “I’m surrounded by members of the military with family and friends and this was my way of showing my extreme gratitude to those brave men and women past, present and future for protecting our country so we can be at the race track!”

Following Charlotte, DME is hopeful to return to NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series competition at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway on Sat., June 6, 2020.

The N.C. Education Lottery 200 (134 laps| 201 miles) is the third of 23 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races on the 2020 schedule. The 40-truck field will take the green flag shortly after 8:00 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1 (FS1), the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90). Diversified Motorsports Enterprises energized ahead of Truck Series debut

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla: Diversified Motorsports Enterprises’ big week is here, and they are ready to deliver.

With new marketing partner Teletrac Navman, Logan Puckett’s Diversified Motorsports Enterprises team heads to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway looking for big results in their NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series debut.

Armed with the veterans of driver Jesse Little and crew chief Bruce Cook, the duo looks to take their wealth of experience and produce magical results in Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250.

“I’m so excited for our Diversified Motorsports Enterprises team,” said team owner Logan Puckett. “This is an awesome opportunity for me as a young, ambitious owner and to have the support of Teletrac Navman and the leadership of Jesse and Bruce. Our lean green Teletrac Navman machine looks sweet and I’m hoping for a good finish on Friday night.

Although Puckett is familiar with the characteristics of superspeedway racing, he’s hoping for the best and taking the positive approach to the Truck Series opener, the first race in a limited schedule for the DME team in 2020.

“I feel like we have a really good truck, it sure does look good with the Teletrac Navman colors too. Look, it’s Daytona. It can appear that you’re going to have an awesome night and then something completely out of your control happens and the night is over. We’re prepared for that.

“Our goal is to go to Daytona this weekend and make some noise. Get the truck into the show, draft to the front and try and stay there. If we can do that – it will give us some good momentum to take to our next race in March.”

Daytona is the first of at least a six-race deal with Teletrac Navman, a leader in fleet and management software.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with Diversified Motorsport Enterprises and the No. 97 race team,” said Jens Meggers, president Teletrac Navman. “NASCAR is associated with brands that are influential in their space and we are honored to be among those brands during the 2020 season.

“Working together with Logan (Puckett) and the DME team will make for an exciting year in both of our first seasons. We are eager to take advantage of the exposure this partnership will surely bring.”

Driver Jesse Little, 22, will have a busy week at the “World Center of Racing.” In addition to the Truck Series, he’ll also be competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.

“I’m super pumped to go to Daytona with JD and DME,” offered Little. “I’m proud to represent Teletrac Navman and be apart of Logan’s debut in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. Bruce and the rest of the DME guys have worked hard on the truck and I’m focused on winning!”

Despite 31 starts in the Truck Series, Friday night’s season-opener will be Little’s first race on a superspeedway.

Following Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, DME will return to NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series competition at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway in March 2020.

The NextEra Energy Resources 250 (100 laps | 250 miles) is the first of 23 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races on the 2020 schedule. Practice begins on Thurs, Feb. 13 from 4:05 p.m. – 4:55 p.m. A final practice session is set for 5:05 p.m. – 5:55 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Fri., Feb. 14 beginning at 3:10 p.m. The 32-truck field will take the green flag shortly after 7:30 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90).

Diversified Motorsports Enterprises completes purchase of JJL Motorsports

CHARLOTTE, N.C.: Officials from Diversified Motorsports Enterprises (DME) announced today that it has successfully completed the purchase of NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) team JJL Motorsports.

With the acquisition complete, Diversified Motorsports Enterprises hopes to compete in their inaugural NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race in the 2020 season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Fri., Feb. 14, 2020.

“This is a proud moment for Diversified Motorsports Enterprises,” said team principal Logan Puckett. “We appreciate Jason (Little) and everyone at JJL Motorsports for making the transition seamless and I’m excited about the outlook for our race team.”

The team will start 2020 in a new shop near Charlotte, N.C. and has plans to run a majority of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season with mainstay driver Jesse Little.

“We have big plans for the season but we’re going to be thoughtful and attentive to our approach with everything we do,” added Puckett. “Being a young owner in the Truck Series, I’m eager to be competitive out of the box while also being ambitious with our marketing with the intention to bring new business to business partners into NASCAR and build our team towards a full schedule in 2021 and beyond.”

Puckett also says the organization will make a series of announcements in January.

“Even with the Holidays quickly approaching, it’s a busy time for Diversified Motorsports Enterprises,” he added. “I’m thrilled about some of the personnel we’ve acquired and making the announcement of our marketing partner for our debut race.”

Throughout the season, Diversified Utility Group Inc. will serve as a major associate partner in 2020.

Founded in July 2013, Diversified Utility Group is a turn key general contractor specializing in fiber optic telecommunications construction consisting of new build, maintenance, cellular towers for wireless providers, residential and commercial applications and more.
